Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The Commodore Theatre, located on High Street in historic Old Town Portsmouth, Virginia, is a luxuriously restored 1945 Art Deco style motion picture theatre presenting first run films with a fine dining restaurant within the main auditorium.
The Commodore features a 41-foot screen and THX and DOLBY DIGITAL sound. Every film is presented as it is meant to be seen, in a luxurious, state-of-the-art theatre. The Commodore is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.

The restoration work on the Commodore began in June, 1987, after a 12-year period in which the theatre had been closed. Fred Schoenfeld's idea was to restore the theatre back to the way it was in 1945, the year Bunkie Wilder opened this, his flagship th...
I have been a photographer most of my life. I started in the 70s working on high school yearbooks. I have traveled to many countries and within the USA. I have spent many years developing film and pictures in photographic dark rooms, then switching to digital. I have developed a new appreciation for high-dynamic range (HDR) photography in which the majority of my photographs are processed. I have lived most of my life in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia near the Chesapeake Bay. I just moved to Saint Augustine, Florida and I am looking forward to a new adventure in my photography quest. All images and photographs are protected by copyright laws.
